Traveling with Kids
Choosing a vacation destination for traveling with kids can be a very difficult task. When looking around and preparing for such a priceless moment with your family, you will be faced with many decisions. This part of our web site is to hopefully make things a little bit easier.
Important things to consider are:
1) Budget: Establishing a budget will let you answer many questions.
Where can we go ? You will find a wide selection of
Traveling With Kids Destinations
with every budget (small or big).
How long can we go for ? Budget is not the only thing that dictates how long you can stay on vacation. Most often work and school responsabilities are the biggest obstacle to a longer trip.
How will we get there ? Will you fly to destination, drive a car or motorhome, perhaps ride the rails or hit the wide open sea. All have they're good sides and all have bad points. Money wise, as you can imagine, all are very different. Comparing the costs of one to the other will give you a much clearer picture of what is in your reach.
What will we need ? Will you need to apply for a passport, do you need vaccination, do you need special clothes, what do you already have and what will you need to buy. Depending on the type of adventure you are going for, a list is the only way to go, even more when you're travelling with kids. Visit our

page to prepare. I'm sure you will find it very helpfull.
What will we see and do ? Again, establishing a good budget will let you choose between the many family vacations you and your loveones will do on your trip.
2) Plan with your kids: Your kids opinion is very important to a succesfull vacation. This way they can get excited and feel involved in the preparation. Children can easily get tired. Choose simple but fun activities.
3) Time of year: Obviously, some places you just don't go at certain periods of the year. Hurricane season wouldn't be my first pick with the family for a caribbean vacation. Although you may find great deals, let's just say it's not for your average travellers.
4) "Surviving" the trip: Be prepared for airsickness, seasickness, jet-lag, accidents etc. A good preparation will prevent most of these. Just takes a good "tourista" to ruin a few days for the whole family
