Crested Butte
Nestled in an authentic Western town, Crested Butte offers 113 Trails (beginner 24% intermediate 57% expert 19%) and 16 Lifts. Often associated with the "extreme" scene, visitors have also found great intermediate terrain. The so called "green" runs can be a bit challenging for the Never Skied Before guest, so a lesson at the ski school could be well worth the time to enjoy this great mountain.

Crested also serves up a 370' Halfpipe and terrain park for snowboarders.

Aspen
When thinking of Aspen most think of luxury and glamour. The people that have been to Aspen know Aspen for the World Class Skiing and snowboarding. Aspen Mountain, better known as Ajax, is right there in town. Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands and Snowmass make up the skiing scene in this trully unique and amazing traveling destination for skiers of all levels.

Ajax (Aspen Mountain)
Ajax offers 76 trails and 8 lifts (10,755 persons/hour) for quality family skiing if the level of experience in your family is strong-intermediate and up. Beginners will enjoy Buttermilk and Snowmass a lot more.

Aspen Highlands
Highlands is pretty much the local's hang-out and the hardcore playground in Aspen. With 76 Trails and 8 Lifts (10,755 persons/hour) it reserves you the thoughest terrain the area as to offer but still devotes 50% of the trails to green and blue runs.

The backcountry and its signature Highland Bowl is what makes this place a big hit with the locals and all the hardcore skiers.

Snowmass
Snowmass is the biggest of the Aspen mountains. 91 Trails (beginner 7% intermediate 55% expert 18% super expert 20%) and 24 Lifts (27,978 persons/hour).

Although it caters well to expert skiers with tree runs, cornices and double black diamond chutes, Snowmass is is better known for its wide groomed cruising terrain.

Buttermilk
Often refered to as a true beginners mountain, Buttermilk offers 44 Trails (beginner 35% intermediate 39% expert 26%) and 8 Lifts (2 ski school lifts)(7,500 persons/hour). If you have young kids that are still at the learning stage, this is a great mountain to spend time at. Don't take me wrong, the more advance skiers will also enjoy there day, but will probably cover the advance terrain faster than one would at Ajax for exemple.

Snowboarders will be more than "stocked" with the 2 terrain parks, one of which is more then 2 miles long (Crazy T'rain Park) and a the Big Halfpipe. If famous ESPN Winter X Games have made Buttermilk there home for the next couple of years it's because they provide quality and World Class installations.
